O Scale Car

IMPORTANT UPDATE ON THE MEET CAR. PRIOR TO THE 2013 MEET MTH INFORMED US THAT THEIR SALES DEPARTMENT FAILED TO COMMUNICATE OUR ORDER FOR MEET CARS TO THE PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT. AS A RESULT THE CARS WERE NOT PRODUCED IN TIME FOR THE MEET. WE EXPECT TO HAVE THEM FOR THE 2014 MEET. OUR APOLOGIES.

The 2014 O scale meet car will be a special run for OSW of the MTH "55 Ton Gondola" which is an excellent model of the SP G-50-22 GS gondola. The car will be lettered in the pre-1955 scheme in 14 different road numbers and will be equipped with 2-rail wheelsets. The under frame provides for mounting modeler-supplied KD couplers.

This is the MTH catalog picture showing a different model with a lettering scheme that, except for the herald location, is like what will be on the meet cars.

The MTH gons in 3-rail versions will be available from Petersen Supply Co. either at their tables or by order.

S Scale Car

The S scale meet cars will be the S-Helper single door box car lettered as an SP B50-12A and a PRS double door box car lettered for WP.

AtlasO Trainman 53 foot gondola (two versions)

One version of this car is painted black and lettered for SP in the steam era scheme. The SP had 50 of these cars. There are two different road numbers. These cars were the meet cars for the 2010 OSW which was combined with the 2010 O Scale National convention.

The other version of this car is painted brown and lettered for SP in the diesel era scheme. The SP had 300 of these cars. There are two different road numbers. These cars were the meet cars for the 2010 OSW which was combined with the 2010 O Scale National convention.
