Theft at Chicago March Meet
An unfortunate event happened on Saturday night March 14th at the Chicago March meet. Someone gained access to George Wallace's car and stole his Overland Streamlined Milwaukee Road 4-6-4 custom painted in the Hiawatha paint scheme by Dan Panera. This is a 2-Rail O Scale engine in the Overland as delivered green box.
This photo is one of a Weaver Streamlined Millwaukee Road engine in the same paint scheme.
The following pictures are of a sister Overland Engine from the same run with the same box, label, etc. The two photos of the engine are of the same Overland Engine.
The red "Custom Painted OMI" is not present of George's engine box.
The box dimensions are: 22" x 14" x 5"
We are asking everyone to be on the lookout for this engine. If it were one of the local hoodlums, he will probably want to unload it. It is a specialty item so they would be going to swapmeets, hobby shops or fellow train enthusiasts or trying to unload in on Ebay.
Here is a description of the Engine.
Manufactured by Overland
Milwaukee Road Streamlined F-7 4-6-4
Custom painted in the "Hiawatha" paint scheme
Cab number is "100"
The paint is Gray, Orange, Maroon, and Black with Gold Stripes and lettering on the tender
There is a number on the bottom of the engine under the cab. It is "04173". That is Dan Pantera's project number and unique to that engine only.
George would just like to get his engine back. If any of you come in contact with it, please either contact the police or George Wallace.
George's number is: 405-818-2277
His email is: firstname.lastname@example.org
If by chance you are the individual who currently has the engine and would like to return it anonymously, please sent it to me at this location. No questions asked.
Thank You All!
